Megan McEwen-Nekrash, R.M.T.
Nanaimo massage therapist

Megan graduated in 1995 from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Vancouver, and has practised continuously since. Post graduate studies include MBF® (Muscle Balance and Function), Deep Tissue Techniques and Myofascial Release, Strength, Stability and Flexibility. Megan's expertise in evaluation and treatment is substantially enhanced by incorporating the systems of MBF®.

She was actively involved in the Canadian Junior Football League with the Vancouver Island Raiders football team during the 2006 winning season, which allowed her to contribute to the community while at the same time augmenting her in-clinic expertise.

Kyle Nekrash, R.M.T. Nanaimo massage therapist
Kyle graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1995. Post graduate studies include Myofascial Release Therapy, Sports Nutrition, and MBF® (Muscle Balance and Functional Development). He finds the MBF® exercise-based system extremely beneficial in treating muscular imbalances that cause postural misalignment, reduced performance or even injury. Kyle guides his patients through a series of daily exercises to restore mobility and range of motion. The results speak for themselves.

Last year Kyle became extensively involved with the Vancouver Island Raiders Football Team of the Canadian Junior Football League and is enthusiastic about the learning opportunities this afforded his practice.

Andrea Leitch, R.M.T. Nanaimo massage therapist
Upon graduation from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in the spring of 2006, Andrea joined FORM Health & Rehab Clinic. Her studies gave her expertise in Myofascial Release Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage and Neuro Muscular Therapy.

For the past two seasons Andrea has volunteered with the Vancouver Island Raiders Football Team, not only providing a valuable service to the team, but expanding her sports injury knowledge base.

Kathleen Owens, R.M.T. Nanaimo massage therapist
A recent top graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, Kathleen brings both an academic background in human kinetics from Malaspina University, and practical experience in all advanced massage techniques acquired during her rigorous 3000 hour clinical internship at WCCMT.

An avid sports enthusiast, Kathleen has pursued a healthy lifestyle through her commitment to recreational team sports and personal training. She is particularly interested in supporting the restoration of healthy lifestyles for her patients.

Al Jackson of Nanaimo says:
“In 1951 when I was 18 years old I had a fall which severely damaged the muscles in my lower back, right hip and my right hamstring. I was treated at the UBC medical clinic and the injury didn't bother me again until 2001 (50 years later) when I began to suffer serious back and thigh pain. For the next 5 years I tried every type of treatment available to deal with the pain, all to no avail. However, in 2006 a friend suggested I make an appointment with Kyle to see if he could help. After an assessment of my posture, Kyle recommended a series of muscle balance exercises that take about 15 minutes each day. I am pleased to say that the combination of massage therapy and exercise has significantly reduced the pain and my posture and balance are back to normal for my age. I should also mention that like Kyle, the staff at Form are very professional”
